Riverside Missions Focus

The Trower Family

Trower Family The Trower family are an ordinary family from Ipswich who have been doing extraordinary things in Asia since 2001. They operate under the covering of an Australian missions facilitation group called Pioneers with a passion to reach people who have the least opportunity to hear the radical, saving message of Jesus Christ.

HOW ARE THEY INVOLVED?
House of Love - a special care unit for orphans with Cerebral Palsy set up within an orphanage which provides health care, education, personal attention and love.
Clubfoot Program - A team trained to provide treatment is now treating children from a number of orphanages.
Parenting Advice - Supporting young mothers monthly to provide simple advice which seems to have been lost. Requests are now coming in for fathering advice.
Sick Babies Unit - a new unit caring for babies who require extra care to survive.

If you would like to offer your support to this family through prayer, financial support, or even going on a short term missions trip, get in touch with the Riverside office today.

The Floyd Family

Floyd Family Don & Cheri met in PNG when they individually volunteered their time to assist the Wesleyan Missionaries there. Cheri was a medical student from Tennessee USA, Don a chippie from NSW. They eventually married and became career missionaries with Wesleyan World Missions in PNG.

Don & Cheri have now served over 15 years, and all children were born in the local hospital. Their role involves supporting the National Church and its leaders in building and maintenance, and training of local people in health, nutrition, and basic building skills.

They play an important role in mentoring and discipling young leaders at the Bible School in Christian family values.

World Hope - Pacific Community Development

Image World Hope Australia has worked in West Timor, Indonesia for 7 years assisting children who live in mountainous regions to be able to attend school by funding their living and school costs in the major town centres.
World Hope runs a boarding house in this region allowing young people who have no high school facility in their area to live in a safe home and complete their education.

Check out the World Hope website for details on current projects, including the Indonesian Development Project.
