Our Vision

To lead spiritually lost people (evangelism) to become fully devoted to Jesus Christ (discipleship), loving them deeply (fellowship), equipping them to serve (ministry) and to love God wholeheartedly (worship).

Evangelism

It's a dream of growing a large, healthy, and influential community of people, impacting one life at a time with God's 5 purposes, transforming our community and beyond through His mighty power. We want every believer burning with urgency to reach their spiritually lost friends, and being trained to lead their friends to Jesus Christ. We will reach out to people in our community with the message of Jesus Christ by having an intentional, spiritual input into every home and life within a 30 minute drive of our church. We will welcome people into our family – loving, growing, and doing life together. This church will grow significantly and consistently by people being born again and baptised, brought into the fellowship, and being made a special part of the Riverside family. Our Church will become so influential that it challenges and brings positive change to our society for Christ. We will be a church that infiltrates government, media, business leadership, and schools with the gospel message, thus bringing godly changes to the future of our nation. Riverside will always have large, multi-purpose facilities that can meet the needs of the developing Community Life Center (meeting real community needs in practical ways), Life Skills training college, Academy of the Arts, and all of our church ministries and weekly church services.

Worship

It's a dream of a church where the people are actively and passionately engaged in prayer and worship. It’s a body of believers where God’s powerful hand moves among us, answering prayer, filling us with His Spirit and displaying His power for His glory. This is a church where it’s normal to see Christians praying together and ministering among each other. At Riverside the people live worship lifestyles 24/7, filled with trust and faith in God. We want to be like the first church (Acts 2) where the believers stood in awe of God, met together regularly, sang praises and shared communion as they walked in the power of the Holy Spirit. We long to see every person become true worshippers of God. Through our Sunday services and 'Christianity Explained' class everyone can learn the foundations of the Christian faith and begin on the road of becoming a fully devoted worshiper of God.

Fellowship

It's a dream of a place where everyone who is touched by our church will find love, acceptance, forgiveness, hope and life. Because of God’s powerful love among us, this is a place where from the first moment of contact, each person is embraced into the fellowship where a deep sense of community exists. We are about building a strong family identity where we all equally matter to one another because we all matter to God. Within this great family of God we will build Christ centered families, where marriages are nurtured, single parents supported, and children are being valued and grown up in God’s ways. We value having a strong sense of family identity where we do life together deeply through meeting together in each other’s homes in what we call community life groups. In these groups friendships develop, masks come off and real needs are met. As our church grows larger numerically, it will grow smaller through every person being connected to a life group of 10-12 people. It's here that life change happens the most and real love is shared deeply. We long to see every attender become a member. Through our membership class everyone can understand our family identity, and make a commitment to play their special and unique part in our Church family.

Discipleship

It's a dream of a church filled with people who are becoming like Christ. We are building a freedom centre - a place where people reach their full potential in Jesus Christ. Bondages are broken, hearts are repaired, sicknesses are healed, identities restored and abundant life in Christ is discovered. As people grow they are becoming committed to managing all of God’s resources wisely. These are people who have been set free to become kingdom builders with all areas of their lives. We want to have the testimony of being a debt free church, and a financial blessing to the world around us through our generous giving. Through our 'Maturity Class' all believers are challenged to become fully devoted to Jesus Christ through the practice of spiritual disciplines and strong biblical commitments to be full life stewards.

Ministry

It's a dream where everyone connected to Riverside has the opportunity to discover their life purpose, developing their spiritual gifts, becoming active in their calling, fulfilling their potential in Christ, and making a significant mark on their world. We believe that every member is a minister and as they serve with the attitude of Jesus Christ, they will be fulfilling their potential in Christ. Through our Volunteer Revolution, every believer is encouraged to discover, develop and deploy their gifts for the purpose of serving God and building up the Church Body.
